Redhawks to Host UNLV, Utah Tech as WAC Play Heats Up

SEATTLE - Following a 2-0 start to Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play this past weekend, Seattle U men's soccer will return to Championship Field this week to host UNLV and Utah Tech. The Redhawks will square off with the Rebels on Thursday, OCt. 10, with a 7pm PT kickoff. They will then battle the Trailblazers on Sunday, Oct. 13, to close out the week. Both matches will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

REDHAWK HEADLINES: 
  • After opening conference play on the road last week, the Redhawks will return to Championship Field for a pair of matches vs UNLV (10/10) and Utah Tech (10/13).
  • With their 2-0 start to start WAC play, Seattle U extends their conference unbeaten streak to 11 dating back to last season. They are 9-0-1 in that span. 
  • The Redhawks top the WAC in goals scored this season with 21 overall. They sit two above 2nd place Utah Valley. 
  • River Stewart netted his first two collegiate goals in the Redhawks 2-1 win over Utah Valley last week. Stewart scored 41 goals over two seasons at Everett Community College prior to transferring to SU this season. 
  • Titus Washington continues to lead the team in goals scored this year, scoring his 5th in the Redhawks 2-0 win over Air Force. 
  • Jaden Manetta and Demian Alvarez have combined to play every minute of the 2024 season thus far. The center back pairing has proved to be one of the best duos in the WAC.
  • Mo Mohamed recorded his 10th career assist in the win over Utah Valley. He now ranks 6th all-time since the Redhawks return to Division I.
