ARLINGTON, TX - Kassidy Kirgan has been named the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

"Kassidy just keeps getting better every game," said head coach Julie Woodward. "She had an incredible year in 2023 as a freshman and just keeps improving every game. It was nice to see her get two shutouts on the weekend as they were well-deserved. She and our defensive backline had a very strong performance this weekend."

Kirgan, a sophomore out of Missoula, MT., recorded two clean sheets and made nine saves during the Redhawk's 2-0 week. She has not allowed more than a goal in any single match this season, and currently leads the WAC in saves per game at 4.60. This is the second conference weekly honor of her career, also being named the keeper of the week on Oct. 3, of 2024.

The Redhawks will be back in action this week when they play host to Hawaii on Thursday, Sep. 5. They will then host northwest foe Oregon State on Sunday.
