SEATTLE – Seattle University men's basketball has unveiled its non-conference slate for the upcoming 2024-25 season. The 14-game lineup features basketball powerhouse programs, recent NCAA Tournament teams, conference champions and regional match-ups.
The season begins Wednesday, Nov. 6 in Cheney, Wash., at back-to-back Big Sky regular season champs Eastern Washington. The Redhawks return home for the first of two Conference USA match-ups, hosting Liberty on Saturday, Nov. 9. The game will also cap a week of festivities as part of Seattle U's Homecoming and Parent and Family Weekend.
The Redhawks head back on the road to face Big West members Cal Poly (Nov. 14) and UC San Diego (Nov. 16). A quick return to Seattle for a tune-up against Northwest (Wash.) on Nov. 22 is followed by a pair of games as part of the Vegas Showdown. The Redhawks will battle Furman on Nov. 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, before trekking across the country to Durham, N.C., for the program's first-ever meeting with the Duke Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor on Nov. 29.
December opens with the first of two games at Climate Pledge Arena as the Redhawks host Portland State on Dec. 4. A trip to UTEP (Dec. 7) sits on the slate for the second straight year, followed by a Dec. 14 home game against Pacific (Ore.).
The season's second CUSA match-up takes the Redhawks to Bowling Green, Ky., to face reigning CUSA Tournament champions Western Kentucky on Dec. 17. The Redhawks remain in Seattle for their final three non-conference games, hosting Illinois-Chicago on Dec. 20, traveling to Alaska Airlines Arena to face Washington on Dec. 23 and hosting Southland Conference Tournament runner-up Nicholls State on Dec. 30.
The 16-game Western Athletic Conference schedule tips off the New Year Jan. 4 at California Baptist. The 2025 WAC Tournament is slated for March 11-15 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
