SEATTLE - Lamija Avdic will compete at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C. September 21-29. Avdic, the 2024 WAC Freshman of the Year, is the first representative of Seattle University to compete at the All-American Championships.

The ITA All-American Championships will have 128 pre-qualifying competitors, 64 making the main draw. From this, ten singles players will automatically qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship.

Pre-qualifying will take place on September 21 and 22. Qualifying will take place September 23 and 24. The main draw will begin on September 25, with the finals for singles set for September 29.

Avdic earned WAC Freshman of the Year and Singles All-WAC First Team last season, her first with the Redhawks. In singles, Avdic went 16-6 overall, including a perfect 7-0 record in conference play. In doubles, Avdic went 14-7 as a freshman, 5-2 in conference play.
