ABILENE, TX - Seattle U baseball dropped game two of their series with Abilene Christian, 5-9, Friday night in Texas. The Redhawks mounted a late inning comeback that fell short as the final regular season series of 2024 evened.

ABILENE, TX - Seattle U baseball dropped game two of their series with Abilene Christian, 5-9, Friday night in Texas. The Redhawks mounted a late inning comeback that fell short as the final regular season series of 2024 evened. 

Offensively, there were four different Redahwks who drove in the four runs on the night. of the four, Grant Heiser (2-for-5, 1 RBI) and Jackson Reed (2-for-4, HR) both had multi hit games. Reed's 4th inning home run was his third of the season, while Heiser now has five hits through the first two games of the series. 

Blake Smith (5-6) was credited with the loss on the mound after going 3 1/3 IP and giving up five earned. Kian Hogan and Ryan Morrison both made relief appearances on the mound. 

With the loss, the Redhawks drop to 17-35 overall on the season and to 10-19 in conference play. They will look to win the series with Abilene Christian in tommorrow's rubber match, with first pitch scheduled for 11:05am PT.
