LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Taylor Fitch of Seattle U softball has been named to the second team of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region, announced by the organization on Thursday morning. This is the sixth consecutive season the the Redhawks have had at least one player named to the All-Region team.
Fitch becomes the sixth Redhawk in program history to be named to an All-Region team and just the fourth to be named on the second or higher.
The native of Woodinville, Wash., enjoyed a fantastic first season in the red and black, earning one of 11 spots on the First Team All-WAC list. Fitch was one of two Redhawks to start in all 55 contests, leading the team in average (.374), OPS (1.045), doubles (19), home runs (seven), RBIs (37), total bases (107), slugging % (.460) and on base % (.430). As of May 16, Fitch currently holds the 10th spot in the nation in doubles, 72nd in hits (65) and 82nd in total bases.
