OREM, Utah – Seattle U softball (14-21, 6-5 WAC) headed on the road for its sole midweek Western Athletic Conference (WAC) matchup of the season, dropping both contests of a doubleheader to Utah Valley, 9-14 and 2-7. Both contests took place at Wolverine Softball Field in Orem, Utah, on the campus of Utah Valley.
GAME ONE
Seattle U did its best to fight back into the opening contest during the third inning, scoring three runs on three hits. Sydney Frankenberger opened the inning with a triple to right center field, later scoring a wild pitch. Tai Wilson followed up with a single to third base, before Mikee Morris and Jasmine Wehn marked back-to-back walks. Taylor Fitch singled to center field for an RBI, marking the fifth straight Redhawk to reach base. Nicola Simpson brought in the final run of the third, launching a deep fly ball to center field for an sacrifice fly.

The Redhawks continued to fight back in the fifth inning, scoring four runs on six hits. Wehn opened with a single through the left side, scoring on a hard hit single to second base in the next at bat. Ava Sin followed up with a single of her own up the middle before Simpson brought two runs in a with a two-RBI single to center field. Lily Garcia roped a ball into left field for the final RBI single of the inning to make it 7-11 at that point.

GAME ONE SCORING
- First Inning: Utah Valley scored three runs on three hits.
- Second Inning: Utah Valley scored five runs on seven hits.
- Third Inning: Sydney Frankenberger scored on a wild pitch. Taylor Fitch singled to center field for an RBI. Nicola Simpson hit a sacrifice fly to center field for an RBI.
- Fourth Inning: Utah Valley scored three runs on three hits.
- Fifth Inning: Taylor Fitch singled to second base, allowing a run to score. Nicola Simpson singled to center field, allowing two runs to score. Lily Garcia singled to left field for an RBI. UVU scored one run on a sacrifice fly.
- Sixth Inning: Utah Valley scored two runs on three hits.
- Seventh Inning: Mikee Morris reached on an error by the shortstop, allowing two runs to score.
The Redhawks mounted their best comeback effort in the fifth inning, using a two-run RBI double to right center from Fitch to make it a one score game. Mikee Morris and Wehn opened the top half of the fifth with back-to-back walks to provide Fitch with the opportunity.

After a slow start in the circle, Avari Morris did well in the middle innings to give Seattle U a chance to comeback. The freshman from Henderson, Nevada, did a good job of getting out of trouble from the second to fifth inning, holding Utah Valley scoreless during that stretch.
