RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – Seattle University women's rowing competed in its championship meet April 27-28, the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championships on Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif., advancing to the finals with all three boats and taking home Gold in the Petite Final in the Varsity 8+ DI/Open category.
The Redhawks' V8+ claimed first in the Petite Final in a time of 7:15.585. The 2V8+ boat used a fast preliminary heat finish to earn a spot in Sunday's Grand Final, where they took sixth in a time of 7:41.249. The V4+ boat advanced to the Petite Final where they placed fourth in 8:59.836.
Seattle U wraps up the 203-24 season on Saturday, May 4 at the Windermere Cup, hosted by the University of Washingon.
