HARLINGEN, TX - Seattle U women's tennis completed their 2024 season with a 4-1 defeat by Abilene Christian in the quarterfinals of the WAC Tournament this Thursday, April 18.

HARLINGEN, TX - Seattle U women's tennis completed their 2024 season with a 4-1 defeat by Abilene Christian in the quarterfinals of the WAC Tournament this Thursday, April 18. 

In doubles play, Liliya Dimova and Yuna Kadowaki fell to Libby Blair andMaryjoe Crisologo in the No. 2 spot with a score of 3-6. Anastasia Nikolova and Jade Quintana were then defeated in the No. 1 spot by Maria Cascos and Masha Vrsalovic with a score of 4-6, earning the Wildcats the doubles point. 

In singles play, freshman Lamija Avdic continued her impressive season with the Redhawks, defeating Olivia Sears in the top singles spot (77-65, 6-2). Sophomore Lola Tavcar was defeated by Andrea Guerrero in the No. 5 singles spot (3-6, 2-6), and Junior Jade Quintana fell to Maria Cascos in the No. 4 spot (6-3, 1-6, 2-6). To round out singles play, freshman Anastasia Nikolova fell to Libby Blair (6-4, 2-6, 1-6), all other singles matches were unfinished. 

The Redhawks finished the season with an overall record of 9-9, and conference record of 4-4.
