PAYSON, Ariz. - Seattle U women's golf begins postseason play on Friday, heading to Payson, Arizona for the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championships at The Rim Golf Club at Chapparal Pines. The three-day, 54-hole event will be held from April 19-21 on the 6,235 yards course with a par of 71. The Redhawks enter the event as the third seed, being one of three teams to tee off at 9:50 a.m. in the opening round. 

Joining this year's event and competing in their first season in Abilene Christian, while California Baptist, Grand Canyon, Stephen F. Austin, Southern Utah, Tarleton, UT Arlington, UTRGV, Utah Tech and Utah Valley return to complete the 11 team field. 

The Redhawks team lineup will consist of Rivekka Jumagulova, Tsara Ralamboarison, Aaryanna Morris, Shayna Lu and Annika Cruz. Azumi Arai will travel with the team and be available to use as a substitute before a round has begun. 

Jumagulova claimed her second consecutive WAC Golfer of the Week award, for the tournament week ending on Wednesday, April 10, after capturing her second career individual title at the Bobcat Desert Classic. The junior set a new program record for lowest 54 hole total with a three-round score of 12-under (66-67-71) 204 to help the Redhawks finish second out of 17 teams. She becomes the second Redhawk in the modern era to claim multiple medalist honors in her SU career, joining Caitlin McCleary who took home four titles in her four years.

Morris earned her first career WAC Weekly award for the tournament week ending on Wednesday. Feb. 28, after her play at the Grand Canyon Invitational. Morris posted the then lowest 54 hole total by one golfer (207) when she tied for third place at nine-under. Morris was phenomenal in the second round on Monday afternoon, finishing with a single round total of seven-under 65 which ranks second all-time in lowest single round score and round score versus par. Morris also led the field in made birdies (17).
