SEATTLE, WA - Seattle U men's tennis completed their regular season this Sunday, April 14 with a dual match against UTA, dropping the match with an overall score of 2-5. The match also featured a ceremony honoring graduating senior Julian Worn.
In doubles play, Jun Sasagawa and Veselin Kiselkov paired up to take on Pedro Sasso and Solano Caffarena, defeating them 6-3. Michael Frank and Julian Worn were also victorious in their match, defeating the duo of Joan Torres and Meethre Barot 6-2, earning the Redhawks the doubles point.
In singles play, Jun Sasagawa was defeated by Joan Torres (4-6, 5-7) in the top singles spot. Filip Stipic fell to Dante Teramo (3-6, 2-6), and Julian Worn was defeated by Solano Caffarena (3-6, 6-4, 4-6). Michael Frank fell to Meethre Barot (3-6, 75-6, 3-6), and Yu-Han Hsieh was defeated by Andres Medus (3-6, 0-6). To round out singles play, Veselin Kiselkov won his match against Pedro Sasso by retirement.
The Redhawks will begin postseason play in the WAC tournament from April 18 to April 20 in Harlingen, TX.
