PHOENIX, AZ - Seattle U men's tennis was defeated by Grand Canyon this Friday, April 12 with an overall score of 0-7. The loss brings the Redhawks to a 1-2 conference record on the season so far.
In doubles play, Filip Stipic and Jun Sasagawa fell to Gerhard Sullwald and David Wekasa (2-6), while Michael Frank and Julian Worn lost a close match to Alfred Almasi and Paolo Rosati (6-7). Dario Ristovski and Yu-Han Hsieh were defeated by Wyatt Anderson and Jonathan Da Silva (3-6).
In singles play, Jun Sasagawa fell to Gerhard Sullwald (6-7, 3-6), and Filip Stipic was defeated by David Wekasa (6-7, 6-2, 6-10). Julian Worn was defeated by Alfred Almasi (4-6, 6-7), and Dario Ristovski fell to Jonathan Da Silva (4-6, 2-6). To round out singles play, Michael Frank fell to Paolo Rosati (7-5, 0-6, 2-6) and Yu-Han Hsieh was defeated by Wyatt Anderson (4-6, 3-6).
The Redhawks will complete the regular season with a home match against UT Arlington on Sunday, April 14.
