EDINBURG, TX - Seattle U men's tennis were victorious in a close match against UTRGV this Sunday, April 7 with a final score of 4-3. Junior Michael Frank stepped up to seal the win for the Redhawks in his singles match after the Redhawks started out the match with a loss of the doubles point. The victory brings the Redhawks to an overall conference score of 1-1 on the season so far.
In the top doubles spot, Jun Sasagawa and Filip Stipic took on Emilien Burnel and Ivo Isquerio, dropping the match with a score of 1-6. Michael Frank and Julian Worn then stepped up in their match against Agustin Salazar and Santiago Serrano to keep the doubles point alive for the Redhawks, defeating them 6-3. Dario Ristovksi and Yu-Han Hsieh then fell to Paolo Bonaguro and Will Roberts (2-6), resulting in the doubles point going to the Vaqueros.
After losing the doubles point, the Redhawks stepped up in singles play, beginning with Junior Filip Stipic's defeat over Agustin Salazar (6-3, 6-1).
