SEATTLE, WA - Seattle U women's tennis soared in their home match against UTRGV this Friday, April 5. The victory brings them to a 3-2 conference record and overall 8-7 record on the season so far.

SEATTLE, WA - Seattle U women's tennis soared in their home match against UTRGV this Friday, April 5 with a 5-2 victory. The victory brings them to a 3-2 conference record and an overall 8-7 record on the season so far. 

The Redhawks began the match with another dominant doubles performance from the duo of Lamija Avdic and Lola Tavcar, who defeated Kristal Dule and Valentina Urraco with a score of 6-0. Liliya Dimova and Yuna Kadowaki were also dominant in their match against Marjorie Souza and Yaiza Vazquez, beating them with a score of 6-2. To complete the doubles sweep for the Redhawks, Elena Kraleva and Jade Quintana came out on top in a close match against Isabelle Bahr and Lea Karren (7-6).

The Redhawks were also dominant in singles play, beginning with another win from junior Elena Kraleva who defeated Marjorie Souza (6-2, 6-1). Lamija Avdic followed suit with a victory of her own, defeating Isabella Bahr (6-2, 6-3). Anastasia Nikolova and Liliya Dimova were also victorious in their matches, Nikolova defeating Valentina Urraco (6-2, 6-1), and Dimova defeating Lea Karren (6-1, 7-6). To round out singles play, Lola Tavcar fell to Kristal Dule (3-6, 6-7), and Yuna Kadowaki was defeated by Yaiza Vazquez (6-2. 2-6 4-6).

The Redhawks will continue conference play with a match against UT Arlington on Monday, April 8 in Arlington.
