SEATTLE, WA - Seattle U men's tennis were defeated in their first conference match of the season by Abilene Christian this Saturday, March 30, with an overall score of 3-4.
In doubles play, Jun Sasagawa and Filip Stipic were defeated by ACU's No. 1 doubles (2-6), while Julian Worn and Michael Frank fell to their No. 2 doubles (2-6). To round out doubles play, Veselin Kiselkov and Yu-Han Hsieh were defeated by ACU's No. 3 doubles (2-6).
On the singles side, the Redhawks came back fighting with Jun Sasagawa's victory in the No. 1 spot (3-6, 6-2, 3-6), and Filip Stipic's victory in the No. 2 spot (4-3). Senior Julian Worn was also victorious in his match (5-7, 6-2, 7-6), bringing the score to 3-1 in the Redhawks favor. Dario Ristovski was defeated (3-6, 1-6), and Veselin Kiselkov fell (6-7, 2-6).
