"Despite wet, cold and heavy winds all day on Friday that affected times and distance performances, our teams really competed at a very high level across the board in every event area." says head coach, Kelly Sullivan. "It was great to see Alex Franklin set a well deserved new school record that he's been working hard on getting. Miguel Rosario got to open up his outdoor season at Stanford and ran a comfortable one-hundred meter, which was great to see him back after his school record breaking indoor season. Really proud of the development we are witnessing from the entire group. Excited that this coming Friday a handful of them will be able to compete at a local meet at the stadium in Renton, wich we haven't gotten a chance to do outdoors until this year." he continues.

Franklin set a new school record in the men's outdoor 800 meter with his time of 1:52:51, moving him up from the 5th place spot and beating his previous best time of 1:53:83 by over a second. Franklin finished in 27th place out of 213 total competitors in the race.

Sophomore Azalea Groleau continued her impressive season for the Redhawks, earning a second place spot in school record books for the women's 5000 meter with her time of 16:52:22. Groleau finished in 10th place out of 157 total competitors in the race

The Redhawks also had a number of top ten school records, and 12 personal best records in the meet, bringing them to a total of 51 personal bests on the outdoor season so far.
