EUGENE, OR - Seattle U track and field completed their second outdoor meet of the season this Saturday, March 23 at the Oregon Preview. The meet featured remarkable performances for the Redhawks, including a number of personal bests, top ten performances and spots on the divison I track and field performance list.
Grad transfer Yonas Sauers continued his notable performances for the Redhawks, finishing in second overall out of twenty-three total competitors in the mens 5000 meter. Sauers finished the race with a time of 14:21.46, earning a second place spot in school records and a tenth place spot in the division I track and field performance list.
Sophomore Azalea Groleau also earned a second place spot in school records in the 5000 meter with her time of 16:54.40. Groleau also earned herself a seventeenth place spot in the division I track and field performance list for the women's 5000 meter.
Senior Gus Harquail continued to impress in the mens steeplechase, earning a sixth place spot on the division I track and field performance list with his time of 9:09.17.
The Redhawks had a total of twelve personal best performances at the meet, bringing them to thirty-nine total during the outdoor season so far.
