The Redhawks made it a one run contest in the fourth inning, using two hits to bring home a run. Taylor Fitch opened the inning with a single before advancing to second on a wild pitch. Ava Sin moved her over to third before Lily Garcia provided a crucial two-out hit to second base to make it a one run ball game.

Taylor Fitch tied this contest at three all in the bottom of the sixth, crushing a ball into right field netting.

Berkley Vance pitched well in relief after entering the contest during the second inning, throwing 5.2 innings with just one earned run and three strikeouts. Vance stopped the damage in the second before sending the next six of seven Lopes.

Seattle U did its best to mark a comeback in the seventh inning, scoring three runs on five hits. Lily Garcia and Karen Spadafora began the inning with back-to-back singles before Frankenberger forced a tough play from the pitcher to score a run. Tai Wilson followed with a slow rolling swing that forced a hard throw that allowed Spadafora to score on that error. Mikee Morris marked the final run scoring play of the inning, smacking another double into center field for an RBI.

The Redhawks were able to have that chance to comeback in the seventh inning, thanks to the work of Grace Luderer in the circle. The junior from Tarzana, Calif., pitched three innings in relief, allowing just one hit and striking out two Lopes. Luderer allowed just one baserunner in the fifth, before sending the Lopes down in order in the sixth and making a great double play of her own to work out a jam in the seventh.
