STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Seattle University men's basketball could not slow a hot shooting Tarleton squad on their senior night game at Wisdom Gymnasium as the Redhawks closed out the regular season with a 69-66 defeat to the Texans.

The Redhawks enter the postseason with an 18-13 overall record, finishing 11-9 in Western Athletic Conference play. When the official bracket for the WAC Tournament is released Sunday, Seattle U will expect to earn a first round bye as the four seed, awaiting the winner of the 5/8 game.

Four players finished in double figures, paced by Cameron Tyson's 15 points. Brandton Chatfield had 14 points on 7-8 FGs and Seyi Reiley went for a 13-point, 15-rebound double-double. Alex Schumacher chipped in 11 points.

KiAndre Gaddy led a trio of Texans in double figures with 21 points.

Seattle U trailed by as many as nine in the first half before heading into the locker room down seven, 39-32, as the Texans (23-8, 16-4 WAC) shot better than 54% in the frame to the Redhawks' 37%.

Early in the second half, an 11-2 run capped by a John Christofilis three, put the Redhawks up one, 43-42. The game would go back and forth until a 13-2 run by Tarleton put the home team back in the drivers' seat, 61-52. The Redhawks would get no closer than the final spread down the stretch.
