RIVERSIDE, CA - Seattle U baseball dropped their third and final game vs California Baptist, 0-1, Sunday afternoon in California. The Redhawk offense couldn't break through as they were swept by the Lancers in the first series of conference play.
"Another really tough loss," head coach Donny Harrel said post game. "Guys battled and we pitched out of some jams and played good defense again. Need to stay with the process and keep grinding it out."
Luke Alwood in his fourth start of the season, found himself in several jams but always seemed to find a way out. He ended up going four innings while giving up four hits and no runs.
Cameron Dayton (1-1) was credited with the loss on the day. He went three innings and gave up just two hits, but was responsible for the winning run when he was relieved by Jarek Woodward.
The Redhawks now drop to 4-11 on the season and to 0-3 in WAC play. They will host their first conference series of the season when UTRGV comes to Bannerwood for a 3-game set starting Friday, March 15.
