SEATTLE – Seattle University men's basketball heads to Las Vegas this week for the 2024 Hercules Tires Western Athletic Conference Basketball Tournament. The Redhawks have earned a first-round bye and clinched the fourth seed for a second consecutive year.
The tournament tips off Wednesday, March 13 at the Orleans Arena with a pair of first round games. Seattle U will open play on Thursday, March 14 at 6 p.m. against the winner of No. 5 Utah Valley versus No. 8 California Baptist. A win in the quarterfinals would advance the Redhawks to the semifinals against No. 1 Grand Canyon on Friday, March 15 at 6 p.m.
Seattle U concluded the regular season with an 18-13 overall record and 11-9 WAC mark, good for a tie for fourth in the conference standings. The Redhawks went a combined 3-1 against UVU and CBU this season, splitting the home-and-home series with the Wolverines and sweeping a pair of games against the Lancers.
