SEATTLE – On a night set to honor seniors Matthew Levis, Seyi Reiley, Alex Schumacher and Cameron Tyson and close out the home portion of the schedule on a high note, the script did not go as planned as Seattle University men's basketball fell, 82-62, to UT Arlington Thursday at the Redhawk Center.

Tyson finished with a game-high 32 points in his final home game, but no other Redhawk would reach double figures in the rare home setback.

Seattle U (18-11, 11-7 WAC) was sluggish out of the gate, then took an early blow just five minutes in as Schumacher was ejected from the game after receiving a flagrant 2 foul.

The Mavericks (16-13, 11-7 WAC) pounced, shooting a blistering 68% from the field, including 6-of-12 from three, in a runaway first half that saw the visitors lead 50-21 at the break.

Re-energized in the second half and paced by Tyson's 25 second-half points, Seattle U rallied, using a 13-2 run to pull within 13, 70-57, but would get no closer.

Seattle U looks to regroup on the road next week, closing out the regular season at Abilene Christian and Tarleton, before heading to Las Vegas for the WAC Tournament.
