SAN FRANCISCO - Seattle U baseball dropped their Monday contest with San Francisco, 1-13, to wrap up their 8-game road trip to start the 2024 campaign.

"Very disappointed in how we played today," said head coach Donny Harrel. "I obviously did not get the team ready to compete, as we got beaten in all phases of the game. Need this week to change that, as we host a very good team in St Mary's this weekend."

The Redhawks lone run on the day came in the 7th inning, when a bases loaded sacrifice fly by Royce Hale brought Cameron Dayton home from third.

Brady Liddle, in his second start of the season, was credited with the loss after going 2 2/3 IP and giving up six earned runs.

Seattle U will be back in action this weekend when they host Saint Mary's for their 2024 home opener. The Redhawks and Gaels will play a 4-game series starting Friday, March. 1 at Bannerwood Park. The sides will play a doubleheader on Saturday, before wrapping up the series with one on Sunday.
