SEATTLE, WA - Seattle U track and field will be competing at the UW Invitational this weekend, taking place at the Dempsey Indoor Center located on the University of Washington's campus. The competition will begin at 3:40pm on Friday, January 26 and at 9:00am on Saturday, January 27.
The women will be competing in many events over the weekend, including the 60 meter dash, triple jump, long jump, 4x400 meter relay, 3k meter run, mile run, 800 meter run, and 200 meter dash.
The men will have entries in the 60 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 800 meter dash, mile run, 3k meter run, 5k meter run, 4x400 meter relay, pole vault, long jump, and shot put events.
The Redhawks will hope to continue to impress after Lilianne Hargreaves set a new school record for the women's indoor 3k at the UW preview at their last meet with her time of 9:45.93 on January 13. Junior transfer Yonas Sauers also had a notable performance in the 3k, earning a sixth place spot in school records with his time of 8:22.69. Freshman Sean Ellison impressed in his first meet for the Redhawks by earning a seventh place in school records in the triple jump with his mark of 12.99 meters as well.
