SEATTLE - Seattle U women's basketball (1-15, 1-6 WAC) wrapped up a three game home stand on Thursday evening, falling to Stephen F. Austin, 66-82. The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) matchup took place at the Redhawk Center on the campus of Seattle U in Seattle.
Noemie Bariteau marked a career-best performance Thursday, posting 19 points on seven made field goals to go along with six rebounds and five assists.
Makayla Moore led the Redhawks in scoring on the evening, pouring in 20 points on 8-for-12 from the field. Moore tied her career-best performance from three with four made field goals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Bariteau helped the Redhawks get off to a fast start in this one, scoring six of SU's first eight for a 8-2 lead after two minutes.
Stephen F. Austin took the lead in the second quarter, with a Makayla Moore jumper bringing the lead to just two points with three minutes remaining before the half.
After struggling in the third quarter, the Redhawks did their best to get back into this one during the final quarter, outscoring SFA, 28-21.
