Women's Tennis Defeats North Dakota in Season Opener

BOZEMAN, MT - Seattle U women's tennis kicked off the spring season with a strong 5-2 win in their neutral site match against North Dakota.

BOZEMAN, MT - Seattle U women's tennis kicked off the spring season with a strong 5-2 win in their neutral site match against North Dakota. 
 
Elena Kraleva and Anastasia Nikolova teamed up to compete against Sapir Sela and Andrea Jansson, dropping the match with a score of 5-7. The Redhawks were quickly able to gain their momentum back, with Liliya Dimova and Yuna Kadowaki pairing up against Jule Schulte and Nove Heinitz, defeating them with a score of 6-4. Lamija Avdic and Jade Quintana also paired up to take on Aziza Aubin and Nyah Kzuders and won a close match with a score of 7-6, earning the Redhakws the doubles point. 

In singles play, Elena Kraleva took on Nyah Kzuders and dominated with scores of 6-1 and 6-2. Lamija Avdic and Jade Quintana also dominated their matches, with Avdic defeating Andrea Jansson with scores of 6-2 and 6-1 and Quintana taking her match against Aziza Aubin 6-4 and 6-0. Liliya Dimova lost a competitive match against Sapir Sela with scores of 6-7, 7-5 and 4-10. Yuna Kadowaki also dropped her match against Jule Schulte with scores of 0-6 and 3-6. 

The Redhawks will hope to keep their momentum going into their next match against Montana State on Sunday, January 14.
