CEDAR CITY, Utah - Seattle U women's basketball (1-7, 1-1 WAC) concluded Western Athletic Conference (WAC) opening week play on Saturday afternoon, falling 56-83, to Southern Utah. The WAC contest took place at the America First Event Center in Cedar City, Utah.
Makayla Moore set a new career-high with 16 points on a efficient 6-for-9 from the field with four made three-pointers to go along with five rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Thunderbirds jumped out to a fast start, taking a 22-8 point lead into the first quarter break. Seattle U did it best to mount a comeback but were unable to get back into the contest.
