SEATTLE - Seattle U baseball has released their 2024 season schedule, as announced by head coach Donny Harrel. The schedule features 22 home games at Bannerwood park, matchups with local power-5 schools, and a 30-game Western Athletic Conference slate.
"We are excited about the 2024 schedule," coach Harrel said. "It has regional teams in it from the tournament last year and a good mix of opponents from the WCC, Big West, Mountain West and the Pac 12."
The season opens with an 8-game trip through California, staring with a 3-game series at UC Davis on February 16. That will be followed by a series with San Jose State (2/23-25) and a pair of one-off showdowns at Pacific (Feb 19) and San Francisco (2/26)
Seattle U's home opener will be on Friday, March 1, when they host St. Mary's for a 4-game series. Outside of hosting five WAC series, the Redhawks will also play host to in-state foes Washington (4/23) and Washington State (4/30).
The Redhawks will also head to both the Palouse and Montlake for away games vs the Cougars (3/19-20) and Huskies (4/3, 4/9), while also traveling south to Eugene for a 4-game series with the Oregon Ducks (3/27-30).
"We should be challenged right out of the gate with some road series and then settle in at home before opening what will be one of the better WAC conferences for baseball over the past few years. Our experience on the mound and leadership among our top position players should make us very competitive throughout the entire season."
