SEATTLE - Seattle U (0-3) women's basketball marked the 2023-24 home opener on Tuesday night, falling Portland, 61-89, at the Redhawk Center.
Asta Blauenfeldt led the Redhawks in scoring on the evening, posting a career-high 20 points on an efficient eight-for-nine from the field with two made three pointers.
Irena Korolenko also had a strong night scoring the basketball, logging 14 points (6-for-10) with two made three pointers on three attempts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pilots jumped out ahead early and never let up, taking a 35 point lead into the halftime break. The Redhawks never gave up in this contest, outscoring Portland, 35-28, in the second half.
