LAS VEGAS - Seattle U men's soccer lost their semifinals matchup with UNLV, 1-2, Wednesday afternoon in the WAC semifinals. The Redhawks concede a late penalty to the Rebels as their run in the conference tournament comes to an end.
The Redhawks and Rebels remained in a stalemate for 83 minutes following Mo Mohamed's equalizer in the 26th minute. Despite controlling most of the possession and outshooting UNLV 16-4, Seattle U could not find a second goal on the day.
The 110' saw UNLV be awarded a penalty, in which they converted to give the host team the lead late in the second half of overtime. The Redhawks would not be able to find another equalizer on the day, as their quest to capture the WAC automatic qualifier came to an end.
