Seattle U's men's tennis team opened their season at the ITA Fall Regionals Tournament here in Seattle over the weekend. The tournament was hosted by the University of Washington, consisted of 42 total players and included men's open singles and men's open doubles competitions.

Day 1 (October 6th):
During singles play on Friday, Julian Worn and Yu-Han Hsieh came out on top of their matchups in the round of 64. Worn won his match vs Erik Sarlvik from Eastern Washington (6-1, 6-1), and Hsieh won his match against Brady Thomas from Eastern Washington (6-1, 6-2). Dario Ristovski fell to Andrea Brignacca from Portland State (3-6, 6-3, 3-6) and Jayden Harrison fell to Eastern Washington's Caden Kammerer (6-7, 0-6). Oliver Hall had a close match with Eastern Washington's Tyler Dalos but ultimately dropped the match (7-6, 6-7, 6-4). In the round of 32, Nsieh fell to Nedim Suko from Washington (7-5,0-6,1-6), and Worn fell to Zian Vanderstappen from Oregon (6-3, 0-6, 2-6). Filip Stipic won his match against Tyler Waddock from Eastern Washington (6-4, 6-7, 6-3), and continued into the main draw round of 16.
In doubles play, Jayden Harrison and Oliver Hall defeated Portland State's Andrin Zuellig and Jonas Mathiasen (87,73) while Julian Worn and Michael Frank dropped their match against Portland's Maxim Groysman and Stefan Skobelev (2-8) in the round of 32. In the round of 16, Yu-Han Hsieh and Filip Stipic defeated Gus Krauel and Tom Dunlop of Gonzaga (8-4), while Jun Sasagawa and Veselin Kiselkov defeated Portland's Cade Fernando and Nikola Keremedchiev (87, 74 ). Oliver Hall and Jayden Harrison were defeated by Gonzaga's Pablo Gomez Galvan and Leon Rider (4-8).
Day 2 (October 7th):
The lone Seattle U singles player, Filip Stipic, fell to Gonzaga's Gus Krauel (6-4, 1-6, 4-6) in the round of 16. In doubles play, Jun Sasagawa and Veselin Kiselkov were defeated by Brett Pearson and Nedim Suko of Washington (4-8), and Filip Stipic and Yu-Han Hsieh fell to Portland's Luka Vukovic and Nicolas Ocana (5-8) in the quarterfinals.
The team will be traveling to Spokane to compete in the Gonzaga Fall Tournament from November 3rd to November 5th for their next competition.
