RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Seattle U men's and women's swimming finished up their first meet of the new season today in Riverside. Freshman Keanu Lee, Danielis Kvederis, and Amanda Miller were all individual standouts.
"Really happy with how the meet went today," said head coach Joe Dykstra. "A lot of improvement happened, and we learned a lot about what we need to work on going forward. Our freshmen continue to impress with Keanu Lee and Danielis Kvederis combining for three more entries on our all-time top-10 lists. Amanda Miller was impressive in her college debut as well."
Kvederis, who had a top-10 program finish in the 200 backstroke yesterday, did the same today in the 200 free. His time of 1:40.04 was good enough for first in the event. His leadoff time of 50.16 in the 400 medley relay was also a top-10 finish. The relay team of Kvederis, Brendan Ryan, Keanu Lee, and Nicholas Imig ended up finishing in 2nd during the 400 medley.
Lee set his mark in the 200 Butterfly where he finished with a time of 1:51.62, coming in 3rd in the event.
On the women's side, Miller finished 4th in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:56.79. She also finished 5th in the 100 Freestyle at 53.78.
