SEATTLE, Wash. - Freshman Kailee Wilson shined with a goal and an assist as Seattle U women's soccer took down CSUN, 3-0, Thursday night at Championship Field. It was the first home victory for the Redhawks in the 2023 season.

Scoreless at the break, Seattle U was able to score the first goal of the match in the 61st minute on a penalty conversion by Brooke Wilson. That was followed by a pair of quick succession goals, both involving Kailee Wilson. In the 74', Wilson sent a pass across the face of the goal that found Savannah Singleton at the far post for the tap home finish. Just three minutes later, Wilson was on the receiving end of a Sarah Creighton pass that she promptly finished off.

Pairing with the offensive outburst was the second shutout of the season for the Redhawks. Kassidy Kirgan made three saves in net, picking up her second career win as Seattle U survived 13 shots from the Matadors.

Match Timeline: Seattle U will be right back in action on Sunday, September 3, when they host Yale at Championship Field. Kick off between the Redhawks and Bulldogs is set for 1pm PT and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
