SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle U men's soccer secured their first win over the 2023 season, taking down South Florida, 2-0, Sunday night at Championship Field. Lennard Fock opened the scoring and Kotaro Hirokawa added another for the highlight reels in takedown of the Bulls.
For Fock and Hirokawa it was their first goals of the young season, with Fock scoring mid-way through the first half on a perfect set up from Mo Mohamed, while Hirokawa scored on a free kick in the final minutes of play that got the fans at Championship Field on their feet.
Not lost in the goals was a great performance in goal from sophomore Charlie Lanphier, who was making his first colligate start. Lanphier made four saves and secured his first career shutout and win.
