Cross Country Announces 2023 Schedule

SEATTLE – Seattle U men's and women's cross country have announced their schedule for the 2023 season. The season will begin with three regular season races, trailed by the Western Athletic Conference Championships and the NCAA West Regionals.

SEATTLE – Seattle U men's and women's cross country have announced their schedule for the 2023 season. The season will begin with three regular season races, trailed by the Western Athletic Conference Championships and the NCAA West Regionals.  

The season will begin in McMinnville, Oregon, at the Linfield Harrier Classic on Friday, September 1st. The Women's Team will be competing in a 4k at 10:00 am PST, while the Men's Team will be competing in a 6k at 10:40 am PST.  

Later in the month, the team will travel to Salem, Oregon, to race in the Charles Bowles Invitational on Saturday, September 30th.  

The Redhawks return to the event after the women's teams incredible performance in 2022, where they finished first overall with a time of 1:32:57 in the 5k. The mens team also performed well, finishing fifth overall with a time of 2:08:35 in the 8k. Most notably, Caitlyn O'Neil and Lillian Hargreaves both finished in the top 10 and earned personal bests with their individual times of 18:17.7, and 18:21.1, respectively. 

To wrap up the regular season, the Redhawks will return to Salem, Oregon, on Saturday, October 14th to compete in the George Oja Linfield Invitational. The event will begin at 9:30 am PST.   

To begin the postseason, the team will be competing in the Western Athletic Conference Championships in Abilene, Texas, on Friday, October 27th. The WAC Championships will be followed by the NCAA West Regionals in Sacramento, California, on Friday, November 10th. The results of the NCAA West Regional races will decide who will compete in the NCAA Championships in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday, November 18th.
