Redhawks Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America

RICHMOND, Virg. - The Seattle U Redhawks were recognized for their academic excellence during the spring quarter, with both the men's and women's teams earning CSCAA Scholar All-America Team awards. The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America awards Scholar All-America status to teams that excel in the classroom.

RICHMOND, Virg. - The Seattle U Redhawks were recognized for their academic excellence during the spring quarter, with both the men's and women's teams earning CSCAA Scholar All-America Team awards. The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America awards Scholar All-America status to teams that excel in the classroom.

"Coach Joe Dykstra's dedication and commitment to excellence have clearly made an impact on these teams," said Samantha Barany, Executive Director of CSCAA.

Seattle U's men's program posted a 3.06 GPA and the women posted a 3.35 GPA as a team. This is the seventh consecutive year that Seattle U's men have earned the Scholar All-America Team award. The women have earned the team award for 12 consecutive years.

During the Spring term, the CSCAA recognized 285 Division I programs, with 112 men's teams and 173 on the women's side. To qualify, teams must post a collective GPA of 3.0 or higher during the semester/term.
