ARLINGTON, TX - Matt Boissoneault has been named Second Team All-WAC, as voted on by the conference coaches. It is Boissoneault's first All-Wac selection and the first conference selection for a Redhawk since Dalton Hurd in 2018.

"Very proud that the conference recognized Matt's accomplishments this season," said head coach Donny Harrel. "He had a monster year for us and the records he set will be hard to catch. Could not have happened to a better human being."

The outfielder from Mercer Island had arguably his best season in his fifth and final. He hit .321 with 14 doubles, 13 home runs, and 49 RBI. He led the team in six offensive categories and helped guide the team to a first-round bye and number four seed in the WAC tournament.

Boissoneault also beat Hurd's career all-time home run record this season, on top of beating his own single-season record for home runs. He will also end his career with the highest career slugging percentage in a Redhawk career.

Matt and the Redhawks will be back in action on Wednesday, May 24, when they play in the second round of the 2023 University Credit Union WAC Tournament in Mesa, Ariz. Seattle U will battle the third seeded Utah Valley Wolverines, with first pitch at 9am PT.
