LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Olivia Viggiano of Seattle U softball has been named to the third team of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region, announced by the organization on Thursday morning. This is the fifth consecutive season the the Redhawks have had at least one player named to the All-Region team.
The native of Mission Viejo, California, takes home the award for the second straight year, becoming one of just three Redhawks (Ally Choate & Carley Nance) to earn All-Region multiple times.
Viggiano concludes a historic career at Seattle U with her 13th overall award. The graduate student was once again a stellar leadoff hitter for SU, batting an average of .324 with 66 overall hits which ranked 43rd in the NCAA. The center fielder finishes her career as the Redhawks all-time leader in games started/played, hits, triples, at bats and runs scored. The native of Mission Viejo, California, graduated with a degree in Marketing and is currently pursing an MBA in Sports & Entertainment Management.
This is the fourth straight year Viggiano has earned year-end honors, earning All-WAC in 2019 and 2021, All-Region and WAC All-Defensive in 2022 and now All-Region in 2023.
