DENVER, Colo - Jackson Lind, Kai Alberghini, Grant Heiser, and Peter Chronowski of Seattle U baseball have been named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.
Lind has been a standout in his sophomore season with the Redhawks. He has appeared in 41 games, starting 33, while hitting five home runs and recording 26 RBI. The Kennewick native has also been a solid presence behind the plate, helping catch big pitching performances and recording a .982 fielding percentage. Lind is studying Biochemistry.
Alberghini is in his senior season with the Redhawk program and will graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering. He has hit three home runs on the season, including his first career one at Sam Houston back in March. This will be his third academic honor, taking home WAC All-Academic in 2020 and 2021.
Heiser is a catcher in his senior season with the team. He has appeared in over 100 games, starting in 88. He has a .259 career average with 84 hits, 11 home runs and 55 RBI. He was also a recipient of WAC All-Academic honors in 2020 and 2021. Heiser will graduate with a degree in criminal justice.
Chronowski has been the ace for the Redhawk staff for the past two seasons. He has made 31 starts through his career and has picked up 11 wins and a save. He is a 2-time WAC All-Academic selection and will be graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering.
The 2023 Academic All-District Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
All Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot and will be announced on June 6.
