Redhawks Stumble on Montlake

SEATTLE, WA - Seattle U baseball dropped their third and final matchup with crosstown rival Washington, 2-9, Tuesday night in Seattle. The Redhawks found themselves in an early hole that they couldn't dig out of.

SEATTLE, WA - Seattle U baseball dropped their third and final matchup with crosstown rival Washington, 2-9, Tuesday night in Seattle. The Redhawks found themselves in an early hole that they couldn't dig out of. 

The Redhawks were held to just two runs, despite out hitting the Huskies 7-6. Trevor Antonson and Hudson Shupe drove in the runs in the 3rd and 6th respectively as Seattle U left eight runners on base. 

Luke Alwood was credited with the loss on the mound, going two innings while giving up three earned runs. In all, the Redhawks used five arms on the day, with Sam Hanson and Mason Hoover both having scoreless outings. 

With the loss the Redhawks drop to 17-28 on the season. Next up for them will be a trip to St George, UT, for a 3-game conference series with Utah Tech starting this Friday.
