Women's Tennis Take On Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston in Texas

NACOGDOCHES, Texas. - Seattle U women's tennis will travel south to Texas to have dual matches against WAC rivals Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston. The match against Stephen F. Austin will be in Nacogdoches, Texas on April 6, with the match starting at 10:00 AM PST. The Redhawks will then travel to Huntsville, Texas to take on Sam Houston on April 8, with the match slated to start at 9:00 AM PST.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas. - Seattle U women's tennis will travel south to Texas to have dual matches against WAC rivals Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston. The match against Stephen F. Austin will be in Nacogdoches, Texas on April 6, with the match starting at 10:00 AM PST. The Redhawks will then travel to Huntsville, Texas to take on Sam Houston on April 8, with the match slated to start at 9:00 AM PST.

The Redhawks are coming off playing home matches for the first time this year, as they dropped their match against UTRGV, 3-4 and defeated UT Arlington 4-3.

VS. UTRGV:
  • Elena Kraleva and Liliya Dimova were on point for their match against Isabelle Bahr and Marjorie Souza, as they dominatly won the match 6-2 to tie doubles at 1-1
  • Liliya Dimova picked up a solid victory against Isabelle Bahr, taking the win 6-4, 6-0
  • Mireia Fehr and Daniela Rosenberger had a back and forth match that went to a third set, with Fehr taking the win 5-7, 6-1, 6-0
  • Elena Kraleva and Lea Karren would be the last match of the day, and Kraleva would pick up a strong win 6-3, 6-2
VS. UT ARLINGTON:
  • Elena Kraleva and Liliya Dimova dominated their match against Tora Goriness and Ana Paula Jimenez, taking the match 6-2 to tie doubles
  • The doubles point came down to Mireia Fehr and Lola Tavcar's match against Bruna Casasampere and Francisca Vergara. After a competitive match, Fehr and Tavcar came out victorious 7-5 to claim the doubles point for the Redhawks
  • After getting down 1-3, the Redhawks would begin a singles run with Mireia Fehr emphatically defeating Bruna Casampere 6-4, 6-2
  • Elena Kraleva and Liz Chilean had a competitive match that went to a tie breaking third set, and Kraleva would end up coming away with the win 6-4, 4-6, 6-2
  • The match came down to Liliya Dimova against Tara Gorisenk. After three very close sets, Dimova came in clutch to clinch the win for the Redhawks 4-6, 7-6(4), 7-6(4)
