SEATTLE, Wash. - The Western Athletic Conference has released their All-WAC Awards for the 2023 men's and women's tennis season. Based off of voting from other coaches, the following Redhawk athletes earned All-WAC honors for the 2022-23 season:
  • Julian Worn and Michael Frank - Doubles All-WAC First Team
  • Filip Stipic - Singles All-WAC Second Team
  • Julian Worn - Singles All-WAC Second Team 
"Filip, Julián and Michael have represented our institution with great pride throughout the season" said Head Coach Kristina Hollander. "I am really happy with their All-Conference recognition, they have worked really hard and deserve it."

Julian Worn and Michael Frank earned Doubles First Team All-WAC honors after amassing an 9-1 record together this season at the #2 doubles position after going on an 8 game winning streak, as well as a 4-1 record against WAC opponents. Some highlights from the duo this season include a 6-1 win over Grand Canyon's Martim Marujo and Paolo Rosati, a 6-2 win over UTRGV Karlo Krolo and Agustin Salazar, and a 7-5 win over Abilene Christian's Daniel Morozov and Mihaly Deli.

Worn also received Singles Second Team All-WAC honors for his phenomenal play this year. In singles, Worn ended the season with an 8-6 record in singles, which included a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win over George Fox's Camden Camacho, a strong 6-1, 6-3 win over Grand Canyon's Paolo Rosati, and a 6-2, 6-4 win over UTRGV's Agustin Salazar.

In addition to Worn's Singles Second Team-All WAC honors, Filip Stipic also earns Second Team All-WAC honors for his consistent play this season. the sophomore was able to finish the season with a 11-9 record this season while consistently playing at position #2 or #1. Some noteable wins for Stipic this season include a 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 win over Grand Canyon's Martim Marujo, a 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over New Mexico State's Jordy Visser, and a 6-3, 6-4 win over UTRGV's Borna Devald.

The Redhawks will look to carry the positive momentum of gaining these honors in to the WAC Championships, starting on April 27 in Arlington, Texas.
