PHOENIX, Ariz. – Seattle U softball concluded a three-game series at Grand Canyon on Saturday afternoon, falling by a final scoreline of 5-7. Redshirt freshman Katie Walling continued her stellar weekend at the plate, hitting three-for-four with one double and two RBIs. The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) contest took place at GCU Softball Stadium in Phoenix on the campus of Grand Canyon.
Walling got the Redhawks on the board in the second inning, smashing a double just past the infield into the right center field gap. Scoring that run was Mekenzie Madokoro, who reached after hitting a single back up the middle two batters prior.

Seattle U grabbed the lead after platting four runs in the fourth inning. Kalyn Hill and Madokoro hit back-to-back singles before Lily Garcia loaded the bases following a full count walk. Walling picked up her second RBI on a hard hit ball to second, while Olivia Viggiano put SU in front on a soft infield single to the third baseman. Madison Kahwaty and Jocelynn De La Cruz also picked up RBIs in the inning after the bases were loaded, with the former getting hit by a pitch and the later drawing a full count walk.

- First Inning: Grand Canyon scored two on a home run.
- Second Inning: Walling doubled to left center for an RBI.
