BELLEVUE, WA. - Seattle U baseball bounced back from their shutout in game one with a 10 run, 16 hit performance over Sacramento State on Saturday, winning 10-7 to even the series. Eight different Redhawks recorded a hit on the day as the bats warmed up once again.

The offensive performance was highlighted by a pair of big home runs. First, a grand slam from Trevor Antonson in the bottom of the 4th that gave the Redhawks the lead, followed by a 2-run home run by Jackson Reed in the bottom of the 7th to run the tally to 10.

Kenji Suzuki, Derek Gellos, and Jackson Lind all picked up RBI as well. After they were held to just five hits the night prior, the Redhawks more than tripled that on Saturday.

Nestor German was also a standout on the day, going six innings while only giving up three runs to pick up his third win of the season.

The Hornets did not go quietly into the night, scoring four runs in the top of the 8th, before Kian Hogan came in and got the final out to secure the SU win and credit himself with his first save of the season.

With the win, the Redhawks improve to 12-23 overall and to 8-9 in Western Athletic Conference play. They now also move a game ahead of the Hornets in the WAC standings.

Seattle U will look to win their third straight conference series tomorrow in game three of their matchup with Sacramento State. Luke Alwood will make his third start of the season on the mound, with first pitch set for noon at Bannerwood Park.
