CORVALLIS, OR - Seattle U baseball dropped their midweek matchup with Oregon State, 2-8, Tuesday night in Oregon. The Redhawks threatened throughout the game, but lack of timely hits dooms them in road loss to Beavers.

CORVALLIS, OR - Seattle U baseball dropped their midweek matchup with Oregon State, 2-8, Tuesday night in Oregon. The Redhawks threatened throughout the game, but lack of timely hits dooms them in road loss to Beavers. 

Both teams recorded 11 hits, but Seattle u stranded 15 base runners which proved to be the difference in the loss. 

Nine different Redhawks were able to reach base at least once, with Trevor Antonson (3-5), Cole Kleckner (2-4) and Ryne Hays (2-4) all having multi-hit days. Despite not recording a hit, Hudson Shupe drove in both of Seattle U's runs with a fielder's choice in the 1st and a bases loaded walk in the 8th. 

Kian Hogan went 2 2/3 in the start, giving four earned runs while also striking out four as he was credited with the loss. Six different pitches made an appearance on the mound for the Redhawks. Nestor German and Blake Leaverton both kept a clean sheet in their outings. 

With the loss the Redhawks drop to 11-22 on the season. They now have a home conference series awaiting them as Sacramento State is in town starting Friday, April 21.
