BELLEVUE, Wash. - Seattle U baseball dropped their midweek matchup with Washington State, 2-11, Wednesday night at Courter Field in Bellevue. After taking an early lead, the Redhawks got on the wrong end of a Cougar run that saw them drop the second game of a back-to-back.

The Redhawks seemed to have carried over the momentum from their late inning heroics in Portland the night before, striking first in today's game off an RBI single by Cameron Dayton in the 2nd.

Washington State would score seven runs over the next two innings, before Sebastian Lopez's fielder's choice RBI in the 4th broke up the streak. The Cougars would then shutout the Redhawks in the final five, as they took the game and season series from Seattle U.

Kian Hogan was credited with the loss on the mound for the Redhawks, despite only giving up two earned runs and one hit while striking out three in two innings of work.

With the loss, Seattle U drops to 10-20 on the season. They will turn their attention to a 2-game weekend series with British Columbia starting on Friday, April 12. That series will be back at Bannerwood Park.
