Series History:

This will be the 44th meeting all-time between the I5 rivals, with Portland leading the series 16-26-1. Despite the series record, Seattle U took the season series last year, winning both home games at Bannerwood while dropping the lone game in Portland. The Redhawks are 9-10 in games hosted by the Pilots.

This will be the second matchup of the season between SU and WSU, as the Cougars got the win on their home diamond back on March 7. With the loss, the Redhawks are now 5-12 all-time vs the Cougars, but do have a winning record at home in the series at 3-2.

Last Time Out:

Seattle U is coming off a big conference series win over Grand Canyon this past weekend, taking 2-of-3 from the WAC preseason favorites. It was the first series win over the Lopes since 2016 and helped snap a 10-game losing streak in the series.

The Redhawks won a pair of shootouts in games one and two, before being 10-run ruled in game three and coming just short of the series sweep.
