PHOENIX, AZ - Seattle U baseball was denied their chance at a series sweep, falling to Grand Canyon, 2-14, in seven innings on Saturday. The Redhawks were kept off the board until their final at-bat in the loss.

The Redhawks quickly found themselves down in the game, with the Lopes scoring two runs in the bottom of the 1st on their way to 14 unanswered. Seattle U would put on a small rally in the top of the 7th when a Kellen Carr double brought home two, but it wasn't enough to avoid the 10-run rule as the Redhawks fell in game three.

Despite the loss, the Redhawks did secure their second straight conference series win and their first ever over GCU in Phoenix. They now drop to 9-18 on the season and 7-7 in conference.

Seattle U will have a couple days off before they travel to the Rose City for a 1-game showdown with Portland on Tuesday, April 11. It will be the first time facing off for the northwest rivals after their matchup in March was cancelled. First pitch from Portland is scheduled for 3pm PT.
