TOURNAMENT PREVIEW: Women's Golf at Trinity Forest Inv.

DALLAS, Tex. - Seattle U women's golf heads to another tournament this week, traveling to Dallas, Texas, for its first ever appearance at the Trinity Forest Invitational. The two-day, 54 hole event is scheduled to take place on Monday and Tuesday with a par of 72 and a yardage of 6,464.

DALLAS, Tex. - Seattle U women's golf heads to another tournament this week, traveling to Dallas, Texas, for its first ever appearance at the Trinity Forest Invitational. The two-day, 54 hole event is scheduled to take place on Monday and Tuesday with a par of 72 and a yardage of 6,464.

Seattle U will be competing against golfers from Cal Poly, Dallas Baptist, Fresno State, Houston, Incarnate Word, Kent State, Southern Miss, South Florida, Texas State, Tulane, Tulsa, UAB, UTSA and the hosts, SMU. The Redhawks will send graduate student Samantha Bruce, senior Azumi Arai, sophomores Rivekka Jumagulova and Shayna Lu and freshman Aaryanna Morris

The Redhawks are headed to Dallas after finishing tied for fifth out of 17 teams at the GCU Invitational. Sophomore Shayna Lu (71-75-73) and freshman Aaryanna Morris (71-72-76) claimed spots in the top-20, posting three-round totals of three-over 219.

The Redhawks were fantastic on the par fives, leading the field in scoring (21-under) and average (4.65). Morris was the top individual on par fives with an average of 4.17 and scoring of 10-under, while Samantha Bruce finished tied for third at an average of 4.50 and scoring of six-under. 

Seattle U made the most eagles of any team over the two days, with Rivekka Jumagulova, Lu and Morris all making one each. Azumi Arai and Lu made the most pars of any individual at the tournament, converting on 41.
