FULLERTON, Calif. – Seattle U softball's win streak was snapped on Friday, falling to Michigan by a score of 3-2. Senior Stefanie Madrigal did her best to lead the Redhawks to victory, throwing a complete game with zero earned runs allowed and five strikeouts. The nonconference contest took place at the Anderson Family Field in Fullerton, California. The loss drops the Redhawks to 12-4 on the season.
After finding themselves trailing, 2-0, after four innings, the Redhawks tied up the game in the bottom half of the fifth.
Sydney Frankenberger got on base to start the inning, beating out an infield single to the pitcher. Kalyn Hill would also get on base, walking on five pitches. After a throwing error by the third baseman got SU on the board, Olivia Viggiano tied the ball game with an RBI single to the shortstop.
